Regional Manager, South Asia
Harish has responsibility for driving performance and maintaining partnerships within our South Asian markets.
Harish joined BIMA as the Country Manager for Bangladesh, building our local operation. Prior to joining BIMA, Harish worked in technology consulting where he led cross-functional teams across geographies and managed product development initiatives in the telecommunications sector.
Harish holds a Bachelor in Information Sciences from University of Delhi and an MBA from Columbia Business School, New York.
Puay Lim Yeo
Regional Manager, South East Asia
Puay Lim has responsibility for driving performance and maintaining partnerships within our South East Asian markets.
Puay Lim Yeo has five years of experience in management consulting, specialising in the Telecoms and Media sectors. Prior to joining BIMA, he was a senior consultant at Value Partners (formerly known as Spectrum Strategy Consultants) and Analysys Mason, advising telecoms and media operators in Asia in the areas of corporate strategy, product development, technology, distribution and regulation. He also previously worked in the Singapore Government in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Puay Lim holds a B.A in Political Science from Columbia University in New York City.
Sanjana is our Asia Regional Analyst in Singapore.
Prior to joining BIMA, she spent two years as a project manager at a cloud-focused tech startup in Singapore. Her clients ranged from other startups to government organisations across the APAC region.
Sanjana grew up in Mumbai, India. She moved to Singapore in 2010 and has been there ever since. Sanjana holds a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
Business Development Manager, Asia
Yiling is responsible for defining and executing our expansion strategy in Asia.
Before joining BIMA, Yiling was a consultant at Oliver Wyman and Macquarie Group, where she gained significant experience in emerging markets and microfinance. Yiling has worked on projects for institutions in Gambia, Senegal, Costa Rica and Ghana.
Yiling has a BC in Actuarial Sciences and Finance from the University of NSW (with an exchange at Wharton) and an MPA ID from LSE.
Asia Partnership Manager
Ren is responsible for driving our partnership expansion in Asia.
Prior to joining BIMA, Ren worked as a consultant at Bain & Company, where she was involved with projects in the telecommunications and consumer products sectors within Southeast Asia. She has experiences with nonprofits and social enterprises in various markets, including The Rockefeller Foundation in New York and Off.Grid:Electric, a renewable energy startup in Tanzania. Ren also worked on sales strategy and customer loyalty at Starwood Hotels.
Ren holds a B.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Wharton.
Regional Analyst, South Asia
Wincent joins us as Regional Analyst for South Asia. Prior to joining BIMA, Wincent was an automation engineer in a pharmaceutical company, MSD (Merck Sharp & Dohme). During his stint in MSD, he was deeply involved in creating automated systems to ensure low cost and high-quality medicines are manufactured for those in medical need.
Wincent was born in Bali, Indonesia, and came to Singapore at an early age of 8. He holds a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering and B.B.A from the National University of Singapore.
Elise joined Bima in 2017 as Regional CFO – Asia and responsible for Asia’s financial operations.
Elise is a qualified CPA and holds a B. Law and B. Commerce (majoring in Finance). She has over 14 years of experience in various roles in finance covering audit, taxation, and financial controllership. Elise recently joins us from ANZ Bank (Singapore) as Regional Finance Business Partner and prior to that she worked at Manulife (Cambodia), Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Ernst & Young.
Debankur has overall strategic and operational responsibility for our business in Bangladesh.
Debankur has over ten years experience in sales & distribution, portfolio management, insurance products cross-sell and contract centre management. Prior to joining BIMA, he headed up the Cards Insurance division for Citibank N.A. Previous roles include management roles for Standard Chartered Bank.
Debankur has an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi and Bachelor of Engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), New Delhi.
Akira joined BIMA as General Manager for Bangladesh.
Prior to joining BIMA, Akira was a corporate banker at Citigroup, where he gained extensive experience in international banking & finance focusing on emerging markets. He has also experienced various projects on microinsurance, microfinance and impact investing in Asia.
Akira holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master of Public Policy from University of Tokyo.
HEAD OF STRATEGIC PARTNERS
Sadek joined at Milvik in 2014. Sadek is responsible for new strategic partnership ranges from banking to other industry addressable industry.
He has a total of ten years of work experience with grameenphone Limited, a subsidy of Telenor group & BRAC BANK, Largest SME Bank of Bangladesh. He has vast experience in Sales and distribution. He worked as Territory officer, Area Manager and Channel manager while serving at grameenphone Limited. In his last role he served as Assistant Vice-President in BRAC BANK where he managed a large team of SME loan sales team. He has done his BBA from North South University, first private of Bangladesh University.
HEAD OF MNO PARTNERSHIP
Shahrukh has operational responsibility of Agent Network in all over Bangladesh for MNO partnership.
Before joining BIMA, Shahrukh was a Customer Relationship Officer at Moshihor Securities Ltd. a leading stock exchange brokerage house in Bangladesh and also worked as a Tele-marketing officer at Airbd Customer Service point, where he achieved significant skills in Customer Relationship, Sales and Marketing.
Shahrukh has a BBA in Human resource management from Victoria University of Bangladesh.
Head of Service Quality
Fatima is responsible managing the Quality Assurance and Complaint Management.
Before joining Milvik, Fatima has 8 years work experience in telecommunications with Airtel Bangladesh Ltd as Team Leader & Partner Management of Call Center Operation & in addition also played role as Supervisor, Contact Center Operations & Support Center Executive within same organization.
Fatima has completed her Bachelors in International Relations from University of Dhaka.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMNET
Morsalin is responsible for all training and development of Milvik Bangladesh. He joined at Milvik in 2012 and was responsible for rolling out agent networking across Bangladesh.
Before joining BIMA, Morsalin was a Marketing Executive at UTSHOB.com, where he gained significant experience in Sales, Operations and Team Management. Morsalin has worked on different projects like Red Crescent Society, Lions Club etc. He is the lifetime member of Alumni Association (Department of English), Chittagong College.
Morsalin has an MA in English Literature from the National University of Bangladesh.
Head of Finance & Accounts
Alamgir has responsibility to look after finance & accounts function for our business operation in Bangladesh.
Alamgir has over fourteen years direct and diversified experience in finance & accounts, audit, strategic & project management and consultancy services within the corporate finance area. Prior to joining BIMA, he has worked at few different companies such as PWC, UNILEVER, ROBI (AXIATA) LTD, NIPRO etc. including management positions.
Alamgir holds a Master degree in Accounting from National University of Bangladesh and an MBA from London Metrocity College, London. He is an ACCA Finalist which he studied in Financial Training Company (FTC), London and holds a membership of AAT (MAAT). He is also a partly qualified Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).
HEAD OF BUSINESS PLANNING & IMPLEMENTATION
Muhaiminur is responsible for identifying possible partners and launch partnership process along with conducting market research, product development and supporting the country director. He will work closely with senior management team, local team and the global product function to develop business strategy specifically for the sector. Muhaiminur has a total work experience of around 6 years in product development, project implementation and business development for several local and multinational corporations.
Previously he was with The Bangladesh Rating Agency, a subsidiary of Dun & Bradstreet. Muhaiminur has a BBA with dual major in Finance & International Business from North South University and a MSc in Financial Management from The University of Greenwich.
Pintu Kumar Deb Nath
HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Pintu Kumar is responsible for managing all kinds of human resources functions of our Bangladesh operation.
Pintu Kumar has over ten years working experience in Human Resources & Direct Marketing. Before joining Milvik, he was working as Associate Manager of Recruitment & Relationship Department at BRAC Bank Ltd. , where he was responsible for all types of Recruitment and Relationship Management activities maintaining continuous liaison with the division heads.
Pintu has completed his MBA, Majoring in Human Resources Management from University of South Asia, Bangladesh.
HEAD OF CLAIMS MANAGEMENT
Rezaur Rahim has responsibility to look after the Claims operation of our Bangladesh company.
Rezaur Rahim has over ten years of direct experience in supervisory positions for renowned life insurance companies of Bangladesh such as Deltal Life & Pragati Life insurance.
He has taken part in different workshops, seminars & training programs organized by the Regularity Authority & RAPPORT BD LTD.
Rezaur Rahim holds a Masters degree in Psychology from National University of Bangladesh.
Before joining BIMA, Asif has previously worked with Zenith Infotech solution Ltd, Novartis Bangladesh Ltd, Legato Services Ltd.
He is responsible for all IT related activities such as networking, in-house call center, technical coordination with MIP/BTC across MBL businesses. He is a computer engineer and attended Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr Anwarul Mamun joined as Chief Medical Officer at Milvik Bangladesh Limited on November, 2016.
Dr Mamun has around 8 years of experience working in pharmaceutical marketing at multinationals like Sanofi, Novartis and Eskayef.
He also has experience in development sector with BRAC and Social Marketing Company where he had implemented IT enabled health services.
He is a MBBS degree holder from Sher-E-Bangla medical college and MBA from University of Dhaka.
Deputy Country Manager
Ashwin has strategic and operational responsibility for our business in Sri Lanka.
Before joining Milvik, Ashwin worked in Product Development at John Deere. Ashwin did his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, he also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management and an MBA from HEC.
Thusith has been appointed as the Finance manager of BIMA Sri Lanka in June 2016. He is responsible for the finance and accounting function of the company. Thusith has over 10 years' of experience in accounting and finance which includes six years of audit and accounting advisory experience at KPMG Sri Lanka.
Thusith holds a BSc in Finance from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura - Sri Lanka. Further he is an Associate member (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
Thusitha has joined BIMA in 2013. Prior to his appointment as the Operations manager, he is involved in managing the Call centre, handling claims and system administration in BIMA Sri Lanka. Currently he is responsible for operations in the Company.
Thusitha possesses previous working experience in project management, sales and marketing. Further he is currently reading for Bachelor of Science Degree at Open University of Sri Lanka.
Quality Assurance Manager
Nimeshi currently heads the Quality Assurance Division of BIMA Sri Lanka. She possesses experience in Quality Assurance and Customer servicing.
Arshath is responsible for the supervision of Field Staff Teams in South and West Regions.
Arshath has 8 years of experience in Sales & Marketing. Further he holds the Certificate in Marketing from the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing.
Rajeeban is responsible for the supervision of Field Staff Teams in North and East Regions. He possesses 6 years' experience in Sales & Marketing.
Call Centre Manager
Greshan currently heads the entire Call centre of BIMA Sri Lanka.
He possesses 10 years of Call centre experience. In addition he has working experience in sales and customer servicing.
He is currently reading for Graduate Diploma in Management from City & Guilds and Diploma in Teaching, Training and Assessing Learning.
Natali has 9 years of working experience in the BPO sector, out of which 6 years' experience in Training and Quality Assurance.
She has an Advanced Diploma in Business Management from National Institute of Business Management - Sri Lanka.
Priyan de Silva
Human Resources Manager
Priyan is responsible for the HRM function of BIMA Sri Lanka. He possesses more than 10 years' experience in Human Resources Management in the Insurance sector.
Priyan has the Professional Qualification in Human Resources Management offered by the Institute of Personnel Management - Sri Lanka (Inc.). Also he holds a Post Graduate Diploma in HRM from the National School of Business Management - Sri Lanka.
Tapas has overall strategic and operational responsibility for our business in Cambodia.
Tapas comes from a Financial Technology background having 6+ years of international experience in banking and financial services with Barclays and Infosys Consulting (Erstwhile Lodestone), designing, building and managing enterprise-oriented global infrastructure and leading global transformation engagements focused on business strategy, process workflow automation and operational efficiency improvements.
He holds a B.Tech. Honours in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur and an MBA from INSEAD.
He has a deep interest in the Technology, Media and Telecommunication (TMT) sector, is the co-founder and General Secretary of the INSEAD TMT Network and has organized panel discussions on 'Big Data Analytics' and 'Internet of Things'.
Prior to joining BIMA, Sebastian worked as a strategy consultant in London for four years.
He specialised in healthcare consulting, as well as merger and acquisition due diligence for private equity firms. Sebastian has a keen interest in international development and has already lived in multiple countries across four continents.
Sebastian holds an MPhil in Development Studies from Cambridge and an MA (Hons) in History and International Relations from Aberdeen.
Before joining BIMA, Christopher spent 4 years working for a biofuel company in Rwanda, where he was responsible for building the supply chain and operationalizing the sales strategy. Additionally, he has developed an energy access project for UNHCR, established an entrepreneurial development non-profit, and engaged in short-term consulting projects across 4 continents. He is interested in applying principles from data analytics and behavioral science to tackle intractable problems.
Christopher holds a BSc in Business Administration as well as an MSc in Management from Babson College.
Human Resources Manager
Sovannara is responsible for managing all aspects of the human resources function in Cambodia, including recruitment, training and labour compliance.
He brings 7 years of experience in human resources management with both Cambodian and multi-national companies such as HR INC Cambodia, AMK Micro-Finance Institution, and Vattanac Bank.
Sovannara holds a Bachelors degree in Finance and Banking from Puthisastra University.
Claims and Compliance Manager
Silen manages the claims and compliance functions at BIMA.
He has 6 years of experience in insurance claims. He has previously worked for several insurance companies such as Cambodian National Insurance Company (CAMINCO) and Cambodian People Micro Insurance Plc. (CPMI).
He holds a Bachelors Degree in Management from National University of Management and an MBA from Norton University.
Deputy Claims Manager
Vorleak joined BIMA in early 2016 and helps manage the claims team in Cambodia with an emphasis on hospital insurance claims.
Prior to joining BIMA, Vorleak worked as a Senior Claims Officer at Prévoir Kampuchea, an international microinsurance company, where she was responsible for processing hospital claims and administering fraud prevention. Before joining the insurance industry, she was a practising medical doctor and worked in a private healthcare facility.
Vorleak holds an M.D. in general medicine and has trained in 4 public hospitals.
She is interested in improving healthcare access within Cambodia and frequently volunteers within the healthcare sector.
General Sales Manager
Sarik is the sales manager at the Cambodian business, running both the Call Center and Field Sales operations.
Sarik comes from a sales and marketing background with over 10 years of experience working in the Cambodian telecom industry. He previously worked at Cadcomms and MFone, where he was influential in setting up and executing the sales and marketing strategies.
He holds a Bachelors degree in Marketing as well as an MBA from the National University of Management, Cambodia.
Sarik is a huge football fan, and supports Manchester United.
Quality Control and Customer Service Manager
Pengnam joined BIMA in 2015 and oversees quality control and customer service.
Prior to this role, Pengnam was a customer service agent at BIMA, has worked as a customer service agent at Smart Axiata, and has taught English as a Second Language at a private school.
Pengnam holds a BBA from Norton university and a TEFL from BELTEI University.
He is interested in information technology and his hobbies include hiking and seeking adventures.
Aulia El Fadhilla
Aulia has over 8 years of experience across various industries. Before Joining Milvik, Aulia was an Labor Outsource Head for SIMGroup, where he was responsible for recruitment, employee relations, and the hiring and training of outsource employees for clients.
Aulia holds a Bachelor Degree in Criminology from University of Indonesia and a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) from GML Indonesia.
Partnerships and Marketing Manager
Fu has over 8 years of experience working in the field of marketing communications and business development. Before joining BIMA, she worked with MarkPlus Inc, gaining strong marketing experience. She has experience building her own start up.
Fu holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Indonusa Esa Unggul University.
Management Associate, Operations
Husna helps the team in developing new products and operational strategy.
Before joining BIMA, Husna studied engineering at Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia and NTU in Singapore. Husna is driven to improve Indonesian society, which has driven him to take leadership roles in many communities such as the Environmental Focus Organization, Youth Forum, and Leadership Training Organization. As an alumnus, he also initiated scholarship program at Gadjah Mada.
Management Associate, Product
Junesly has product management responsibility for Bima’s products in Indonesia. Junesly has several years of experience in the oil & gas, industrial and mining manufacturing sectors as a project controller, where he achieved significant skills in project management, risk analysis, and cost control.
Junesly holds a bachelor in electrical engineering from Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia.
Faridah has responsibility to oversee all financial processes in PT Milvik Indonesia.
Before joining BIMA, Faridah worked in Chain Internal Control - Oracle Hospitality based in Jakarta, subsidiary of Oracle Corporation (formerly PT Micros – Fidelio Indonesia) as an accountant. She also gained experience in accounting and audit areas from a big four accounting firm and is qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA).
Farida holds a bachelor degree from economic faculty majoring accounting in Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (Veteran) Yogyakarta and certified Registered Accountant from Universitas Gadjah Mada
As Office Manager, Devita keeps the office running efficient by managing day-to-day administrative and operational needs. Her professional experience and educational background allow her to take on various tasks including HR, finance and payroll. Devita earned her Bachelor Degree in Mass Communication from The London School of Public Relation Jakarta.
Before joining BIMA, Devita worked for a Government Institution as an event organizer. She has experience planning a variety of events including meetings, conferences, and exhibitions.
Jonathan has overall strategic and operational responsibility for our business in Papua New Guinea.
Jonathan has significant experience with team building and leadership, strategic planning, and process innovation gained through previous work in healthcare administration, nonprofit sector, and medical roles in the Military.
Jonathan earned his MBA from Hult International Business School, with studies in China and London, and holds a BS in Public Affairs from Northeastern University in Boston.
Senior General Manager
Angelo joined BIMA in 2017 as Country Manager for Fiji and Pacific Islands, as well as General Manager for Papua New Guinea.
Angelo has consulted on strategy a large number of telecom operators across Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa with Deloitte, Delta Partners, Solon Strategy and PRG, as well as managed global transformation programs at ING Group and founded and sold an e-commerce start-up.
Angelo holds an MBA in Strategy and International Business from Nanyang Business School of Singapore and a Summa cum Laude Master in Telecommunication Engineering from the University “Federico II” of Naples.
Prakash joined BIMA in 2016 as Senior General Manager.
Prior to BIMA, Prakash worked for a start-up trying a new business model around value added micro-financing. He helped scale the start-up across five states in India. Later starting a joint venture, with the Government in his home state of Jharkhand to scale the business.
Prakash holds a Masters and Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras as well as an MBA from Oxford University.
Osman has overall strategic and operational responsibility for our Pakistan business.
Osman has several years of experience in economic and strategy consulting, international development, film production, theater and TV performance, and start-ups. Before joining BIMA, he worked for Rocket Internet's Kaymu venture in Pakistan. Prior to this, he worked for Charles River Associates in Boston and Bahrain on projects in the healthcare, education, and energy sectors. Osman graduated with an MBA and MA in International Relations from Yale University in 2011.
Umair Khalid is the Sales Manager for our Pakistan business.
Before joining our team, Umair Khalid was a Processes Re-engineering specialist at Telenor Pakistan, where he did projects on Recall and AHT reduction and saved more than PKR 22 million. He has also done divisional level projects on Internet Penetration, Non Voice Channels, Postpaid Churn, and NPS Launch. Umair has over 8 years of experience in customer services, outsourcing, insourcing, systems and processes and NPS (CFL).
Umair has a BBA Hons degree with majors in Management form National College of Business Administration and Economics.
SYED HASEEB ASIF NAQVI
HEAD OF HR & ADMINISTRATION
Haseeb has over 8 years of experience in customer service, network operations, quality assurance, training, and recruitment.
Before joining MILVIK, Haseeb was a Quality Assurance supervisor at The Resource Group(TRG), where he was responsible for call evaluations, quality reporting, and the hiring and training of call center agents. Prior to TRG, Haseeb worked at Telenor Pakistan in numerous departments, including Customer Relations, the Network Operations Center, and Operations.
Haseeb holds a Masters in Business Administration with a major in marketing from the Global College of Computer and Management.
SYED AQEEL AHMED RIZVI
CALL CENTER MANAGER
Aqeel leads our call center operations in Pakistan.
Before joining MILVIK, he worked as a product manager for Legrand Electronics, a French multinational firm that specializes in wiring accessories and switches. Prior to Legrand, he worked as a Quality Assurance supervisor for an outbound call center operated by Mindbridge.
He holds an MBA with a major in marketing & finance and a BS (honors) in Software Engineering from the National College of Business Administration and Economics (NCBA&E).
Azam Saleem is our Reporting Analyst in Pakistan.
Azam has several years of experience in Reporting and Contact Centre Operations. Before joining MILVIK, he worked for Rocket Internet’s Lamudi venture in Pakistan. Prior to this, he worked for PTCL in different domains such as; Inbound, Outbound, Validation and Reporting.
Azam holds a Masters degree with major in political science from The University of the Punjab.
Nudrat is responsible for the overall training programs in Pakistan.
She has over eight years of experience in Telecommunication sector. Before joining MILVIK, she has worked in Telenor Pakistan in different domains such as prepaid, postpaid , Blackberry technical support channel, Corporate/SME VAS sector, Social/Digital media and corporate & Regulatory communication department.
She holds a postgraduate degree with major in Psychology from Government College University (GCU) Lahore
